In December, a special event was approaching for Tapio: the entire team went out to one of our clients, namely Ruhsi GmbH, a true specialist in furniture manufacturing.

The goal was to strengthen collaboration, to see our digital applications like twinio and ServiceBoard live in practice, and to speak directly with the people who work with them every day. And we can say: It was definitely worth it.

Our arrival at Ruhsi

Even upon arrival, it was clear: Here, work is done with heart and mind. The reception was warm, and one immediately felt the strong team spirit. We were first shown around the company before heading into production. Ruhsi is a family business in its third generation, specializing in custom tabletops and furniture components of top quality. What was particularly impressive was that they build large conference systems for international clients as well as smaller, individual solutions.

A behind-the-scenes look at manufacturing

In production, we were able to witness live how work is done at Ruhsi – modern, efficient, and craft precision. It was fascinating to see how many variations of tabletops are produced daily. No product is the same as another; everything is made to customer specifications. This is where our digital tools come into play. In many working steps, it was clear to see how our tools like twinio assist – and above all: how!

How we experienced our tapio solutions live

A highlight was seeing how Ruhsi uses twinio. The colleagues on site showed us how they scan, manage, and maintain their tools with the app. No more chaos with Excel spreadsheets or labels – everything is digital and centrally organized.

It was also exciting to experience live how twinio communicates with machines. Machines automatically receive the correct tool data, and twinio gets the current process data like travel distances to make the work process smoother. This was a real aha moment for our team: This is not just a nice digital add-on but real support in everyday work.

In the event of service, Ruhsi also uses a digital tapio solution: ServiceBoard. With just a few clicks, they can create a service ticket. Without having to pick up the phone, the service case reaches the appropriate contact person. If needed, a video diagnosis with the service partner can clarify the cause, and the solution is documented directly in the ticket.

What we learned from customer feedback

What was particularly impressive was the openness with which the Ruhsi team provided us with their feedback – honest and practical. One frequently mentioned topic was ease of use. This was very well received. The ability to retrieve tool data directly from the manufacturer was also a plus.

Of course, there were also suggestions for improvement that we will now discuss as a team. Such direct exchange is extremely valuable.

My conclusion from the team event

For tapio, the team event at Ruhsi was more than just a company outing. It was a real experience – with insights that one would not otherwise receive. We saw how our applications make everyday work easier and what we can still improve. The personal exchange was particularly valuable – both for us as a team and for our customers.

We are grateful to have been a part of it and look forward to the next time when it will again be: Out of the office, into the workshop!
