Continue with big steps forward

In the last 2.5 years, tapio has successfully established itself in the market. The financial year 2019 was concluded with a significant increase in the number of customers and turnover and to complete satisfaction.

The initial years were characterized by the establishment and market development, in which tapio, as a small, very agile start-up, developed rapidly. During this turbulent period, two managing directors combined their strengths and, together with the team, kept the young company on course.

In the meantime, we have entered more stable waters and are preparing for the upcoming growth phase. Therefore Matthias Volm will resign as managing director of tapio GmbH on February 1, 2020. In the future, Matthias will apply his digital expertise as Head of Development at our partner HOMAG in their BU Edge and provide tapio with active support from the machine world.

At the same time, since January 20, we have also been able to welcome Julia Kasper to the team as our new product manager. Raised in a family of carpenters and through her own company Holzgespür, Ms. Kasper has many years of experience in the industry and with digitalization. Also, the tapio partner network is continuously growing, so that we now have 41 partners who want to push the digitalization in the wood industry.

As tapio, we are pleased to welcome Julia in our team, and with Matthias, we will soon have another competent contact person at one of our key partners. We wish Matthias good luck in his new job and Julia a great start at tapio. Matthias will, of course, continue to be strongly connected to tapio and will now drive our shared goal of digitalization of the wood industry from the machine side.
